In December, the whole village prepares for the winter season. If natural snow is scarce, snow cannons ensure the opening of the lifts: on December 6th in Champoluc/Frachey and December 7th in Antagnod.
The streets are decorated festively, with Christmas markets, the lighting of the tree, Christmas Eve Mass, and a torch-lit ski parade by the instructors, followed by fireworks to welcome the new year.
By January 2025, everything will be ready for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, ice skating, and snowshoeing. January is the perfect time to visit: great rates, uncrowded slopes, and 35% discounts with the Happy Ski offer.
If you prefer relaxation, you can enjoy the hot pools at Monterosa Spa, visit castles, browse artisan fairs, or savor Valdostan dishes by a warm stove with a view of the snow-covered mountains.
In February and March 2025, the days get longer, bringing the perfect time for ski holidays and Carnival.
